Kenneth Brown, CCM
Principal & Senior Partner
Ken was a long term General Manager for over thirty-five years, an industry leader serving as President of the Club Managers Association of America, Chairman of the Club Foundation and a Club Owner and President of a successful private golf club since 1985. He has also sat on the other side of the table as a private club member and committee chairman giving him a very unique insight in this industry.
He was trained at one of the best, the Medinah Country Club in the Chicago area and went on to be General Manager of two large volume clubs for twenty-six years.
In 1985 Ken and two associates purchased a failing country club in Indianapolis. As managing partner and president Ken has rebuilt the golf course, remodeled the clubhouse and turned it into a very successful private club.
He has extensive experience in new construction, renovation construction, working with Golf Course Architects and supervising contractors. He supervised the $10,000,000 restoration of a 175,000 square foot club facility. In 1992 he successfully developed 178 acres outside Indianapolis into a single family development and sold it out in 2 years. In 2005 he and a partner purchased a 32 Unit Beach Motel in Treasure Island, Florida. They tore down the structure and built a 30 Unit Condo Hotel that sold out in 3 weeks.
Throughout his career Ken has provided consulting services to many private clubs. During the period 1995 to 2001 his management company operated five facilities: private golf club’s, a downtown club and two public golf courses.
Ken and his wife June reside in Treasure Island, Florida. Their son Christian is a third generation Manager as is their daughter Kendal.
Kevin J. Given
Kevin has twenty years of heralded experience in Premier Resorts, Clubs and developments. He is currently COO and General Manager of the Quail Valley Golf & River Clubs, Vero Beach, Florida. This premier facility has a full membership at each club, the Golf Club being designed by Nick Price & Tommy Fazio.
His experience began at the world renowned Greenbriar Hotel and his credentials include the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, Carambola Beach Resort & Golf Club at St Croix, Boca Grande Club, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club and The Belfair at Hilton Head.
He has served as a consultant at the Club at Longview in Charlotte, NC - A 700 home master planned community and golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus; The Founders Club in Sarasota - a 300 home master planned community and golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, jr. and The Ranches, Okeechobee - a 3,800 acre development. He is also currently working on two new developments in North Carolina.
Kevin is active in many professional organizations, civic associations and is a Bank Board Member. The busiest people get the most done, sure fits Kevin!
Norm Spitzig, MCM

Norm Spitzig, MCM is internationally recognized as an eloquent and visionary spokesman for the private club industry. His groundbreaking book Perspectives on Club Management – now over 20 years old - continues to inspire and challenge club directors, managers and students around the world.
Norm is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College and holds a Masters Degree from Ohio State University. His professional career began at the renowned Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, and led to successful general manager positions for nearly three decades at prestigious private clubs in Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota and Florida.
Norm’s leadership and professional contributions to the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) have been varied and significant. Elected a National Director of CMAA in 1989, he served as National President in 1995 – the same year he became one of the six original general managers to earn the prestigious lifetime Master Club Manager (MCM) designation.
Norm currently serves as a Principal & Senior Partner in Master Club Advisors, publisher of the premier newsletters for leaders in the worldwide private club industry - Club Management Perspectives - and now regarded by more and more leaders in the private club industry as the "general manager executive search firm of choice". Norm’s professional development programs, Board Leadership Orientations and Strategic Planning Sessions have been very well received by individual private clubs, CMAA Chapters, BMI students, golf organizations, and international club managers associations on four continents.
Norm and his wife Cody reside near Orlando, Florida, in the antiquing town of Mount Dora. Their three children, Adam, Mark and Katie, are currently in college and beyond.
